This is the Grand Daddy of them all, the top,and
longest running karaoke bar in Southern California,
and proberly, one of the most famous.
Full bar, and restaurant as well.
Die hard karaoke fans flock here to croon tunes
all nite long.
If you can make it here,
You'll make it anywhere.
I recommend it.
Karaoke Blue
Sawtelle Avenue, West L.A.
Open seven nites a week.
Great place, that is very authentic to what you
would find in a neighborhood karaoke bar in Japan.
With lovely Japanese girls serving drinks and
snacks.
While up on stage, singers croon Japanese and
American songs. I've come here several times, and had a good time, so
will you.
Club Amagi
6114 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90028
323-962-6808
Located in the Gower Gulch Shopping Center, on
Sunset at Gower, just west of the Susnet Gower Studios, is Club Amagi.
Luring in customers with its yummy Thai-Japanese
food, the sushi bar is really good,
I've come here for lunch on occassions when I'm
in the area.
Strong drinks, and public humiliation. Seriously
tho', Club Amagi is a cool little place filled with locals, and the
adventurous tourist.
CAFFE
BRASS
MONKEY

At rear of building.
Los Angeles, CA 90005
213-381-7047

Brass Monkey, is one of LA's most raucous karaoke bars.
Strong yet cheap cocktails and a two-drink minimum keep the crowd
well-lubricated.
Veteran Karaoke DeeJay, keeps the music and scene going. Large songbook
to choose from.
One of the liveliest pickup scenes in town.

Every Sunday nite is their Karaoke Nite.
Where singers, and those who try really hard to be singers,
or just people out to have a good time, come up to the mike and belt
out their favorite tunes.
Karaoke Nights at
Boardwalk 11
Boardwalk 11

Every night the Boardwalk 11 provides a karaoke
club that has an elegant interior

stage for singers to sing their favorite musical hits.
Wokcano Restaurants
Kitty-oke
at Liquid Kitty

W. Los Angeles, CA 90064

On Monday nites, Liquid Kitty's karaoke nights
are the purrfect little place for fun.
Karaoke Night at the
Farmers Market
Located at the corner of 3rd and Fairfax in
Hollywood, just south of the CBS Television Studios.
Fresh produce stands and fast-food huts would
seem an unlikely setting for karaoke,
but on any given Saturday nite, the Farmers
Market is jumping with talented unknowns, and wannabe superstars.
Cool setting, very kitch.
Try it our after a movie some nite at the
cinemas next door.
Karaoke Night at Fubar
323-654-0396
West Hollywood
Every Tuesday night, Fubar offers an eclectic
dish of karaoke West Hollywood style.
The evening also presents costumed impersonations
of such stars as, Celine Dion and Madonna.
Lucky Music Studio
3465 W. Sixth St.
Los Angeles, CA 90020
213-389-0777
If you're looking for a straight-up karaoke
joint, or just searching for something to do after the bars close,
Korea Town has a karaoke place, that's just what
you're looking for.
Lucky Music Studio is the perfect venue for the
crazy and shy karaoke junkie alike.
This karaoke studio features private party rooms
fully equipped with a TV screen, two microphones, a tambourine.
There's huge binders packed with Korean and
American pop song selections.
Don't worry, the American song selection is quite
large.
The venue boasts various room sizes and a small
wait staff that serves up American and Korean beers, as well as light
bar snacks.
Each room is outfitted with comfy booth seating,
low tables, mirrored walls and funky black-lit Disney art.
Rooms rent by the hour and can accommodate
parties of 2-10 comfortably.
Rates depend on room size -- the largest room
rents for $45/hour.
But if you split the hourly rate between your
friends, and this is a grat place to come with friends,
the individual cost is reasonable.
I filmed a Korean movie here a few years ago,
and after we filmed, we hung out there for the rest of the nite, and
had a good time.
